Friday 8th, August Slight easing trend to an inconsistent 2-3ft+. Light variable winds, tending NW later. Saturday 9th, August Freshening NW winds with a renewal in SW groundswell, with set waves increasing into the 3-5ft range at open locations, although there may be a wait for the bigger waves. Sunday 10th, August Slight easing trend for much of the day to 3-4ft, with long breaks between the sets. Freshening NW winds ahead of a late, gusty SW change. Monday 11th, August Strong 4-6ft surf early morning, easing to 3-4ft during the day. Strong but easing WSW winds east of Torquay, possibly more W/NW west of Torquay. Tuesday 12th, August Strong and sizeable SW swell late a'noon (more so on Wed), somewhere between 6ft and maybe 8ft. Freshening NW winds, possibly tending W'ly later. Swellnet

To celebrate Coastcare week, get along to any of the free activities happening along the coast, and help your local environment - all welcome.

Friends of the Airey's Inlet Coastal Reserve

Saturday 4th December
Time: 10am
Join the friends group to protect significant coastal heathland from teatree and other invaders. Light activities from 10am - 11.30am. Meet at Eagle rock parade b/w Beach road and Alice street. BYO gloves and water bottle. Morning tea provided. For more information phone Ian on 5289 6634.

The Friends of Moggs Creek

Time: 9am
Join the friends of Moggs creek for a working bee in Bristlebird Reserve, from 9am - 10.30am. Meet at the water tank near entrance to Old Coach Road. BYO gloves if you can.

Coast Action Apollo Bay/ Friends of Apollo Bay Foreshore

Come and help protect the Apollo Bay foreshore and dunes from weed invasion. Meet at the Surf Club car park at 10am, concluding with a free BBQ lunch at 1pm. Gloves and some tools provided. Please bring tree loppers if you can.
